Christine W. Black

An award winning watercolor artist and photographer,

Christine has been exhibiting her work in the Florida

Keys since 1990.

Black grew up in New Britain Ct. and studied painting

and printmaking at the Boston Museum School and The

University of Massachusetts. She began her professional

career in Nantucket where she lived and painted for 10 years

before re-locating to the keys.

Upon moving to the keys she helped to establish several art

co-ops and has been active in Gallery Key West since

2001. She continues to exhibit at the Nantucket Artists’

Association, The Redbone Gallery in Islamorada Fl., The

Key West Art Center and Gallery Key West.

Her tranquil watercolor paintings of the islands, inlets ,

sunsets and cloud formations of the Florida Keys are collected

worldwide by both art lovers and those drawn to the unique and

extreme beauty of the keys.
